The talk covers the rich variety of tiles and other ceramics in the buildings of Bournemouth from the Victorian era onwards. Many were manufactured locally by Carter and Co in Poole but there are also some interesting examples from other firms including William Morris, Wedgwood and Royal Doulton.
As well as recent photos, the presentation includes images of sites no longer visible and images from the archives kept in Dorset County Records Office.
Costs available on application. The talk takes around an hour but can be adapted as required.
